Greetings, pioneers of our wonderful world of Valhalla! This guide will help you take your first steps in the game and keep up with other participants.
Please read the guide carefully so that you don’t make any mistakes and ruin your game experience.
Before starting the guide, we would like to inform you that the testnet will be held with reduced functionality. The main purpose will be to test the server load, check the economic component and, of course, the correctness of the smart contracts.
We would like to remind you once again — multi-accounts are forbidden, and all detected cases of multi-accounts will be banned.
Immediately after registration, each account will receive starter tokens, which you can use to buy and equip characters.
Every day at 14:00 UTC starts the game day. At this time, everyone will get action points, which must be spent until 14:00 UTC the next day. That is, you will have exactly one day to use them, so there is no need to rush anywhere. It is better to study the game more attentively and once you understand everything, start playing to spend AP with maximum efficiency.
All registered users will go to the rating, which will take into account their game achievements. What will be considered in the rating we described earlier (link to article).
Creating a Character
After completing the registration phase, you have to create your first character. You will need a handful of coins and a Name to do this.
Since each character is an NFT, you will need to add it to your Metamask wallet.
Attention! Make sure that the loading wheel is gone and the transaction is confirmed. Otherwise, you risk wasting resources.
Once you have successfully added a character, it becomes available for selection.
To continue and go to the Main Menu, select the character you want to play and click “Continue”. Now all the game functionality is available to us.
Game Features
Let’s see what you can use.
In the upper left corner, there is an icon of the selected character, through which you can go to the inventory of the character to use things, display his current characteristics (about this later), as well as two scales: Yellow — experience, Green — activity points bar (hereinafter AP). Under the name of the character, his current level will be displayed.
In the lower right corner, there are hot buttons for easy navigation.
- Switching between characters;
- Store;
- Marketplace;
- Home screen.
For communication between players, we have added a chat in the lower left part of the screen.
Press the “+” button to expand it. Press the “-” button to collapse it.
At the moment, you have four buildings available, the Tavern, the Marketplace and the Gateway. All others (marked In progress) are currently under construction and will be available in time. Let’s describe each of the available buildings.
Tavern
In this building, you can acquire new heroes.
Clicking on it, you will see a similar window to the one at the beginning of the game.
You have a choice of 4 character classes: Mage, Swordsman, Thief, Archer. There is one more class — the Cleric, but he is a legendary character; he can not be bought in the game. He will be sold only on special events. The procedure for buying and activating a character is similar to the one you encountered at the beginning of the game.
Store
This building will allow you to buy equipment for your character to enhance his strength (more in the “Inventory”). Attention! Select the equipment on the Class of your character and take into account the level of your character’s level of advancement.
All items in the store are available for purchase and categorised into classes. Items that you can already use will be without red highlighting. Items that don’t fit your character are highlighted in red.
Each tab allows you to pick up equipment for your class, and in addition, each item has a Level. It corresponds to the level of the player and will not allow you to use it until you reach the appropriate level. The store sells equipment for all character classes. This is what we will see if the equipment suits us.
After clicking the “Buy” button, you will see a similar window to confirm the purchase.
Choose your equipment wisely so you can keep up with the other players.
Market
This building is intended for the sale and purchase of equipment and characters between players — in-game marketplace. Items that you can put up for sale must be “Rare” or higher. Characters can also be put up for sale here. Items from the store cannot be sold here.
The “Buy ITEM” tab allows you to purchase items that other players have put up for sale. Here you will see the Name of the item, the Class to use, the Level to use, the Strength of the item and its Strength reserve (more information in Forge and Inventory).
The tab “Sell ITEM” will allow you to put your items for sale, where the price will be determined by the player.
To use this function, click “Sell”.
A list of items available for sale will appear in front of you. You need to select the one you want to sell and enter the price. You can sell any Rare or Legendary item that is in your inventory and is not worn on the character.
Attention! During testnet, we limit the maximum cost of selling an item you can put on the market — 5 coins. This is done to ensure that all were in equal conditions. Money spent or earned on the market will not be counted towards your rating. Only the fact of the transaction itself counts.
And then click the “Sell” button. After that, you will need to pay a fee for the transaction of placement on the marketplace.
Wait for confirmation of the transaction to continue.
If you have done everything correctly, you will see your items on sale in the “Sell” tab with the option to remove them.
To remove an item from sale, use the “Unsell” button.
Press the “Unsell” button to confirm.
After that, it will be necessary to pay the transaction fee for the removal of the lot from the sale.
For selling or buying heroes, the procedure looks exactly the same. The neighbouring tabs are used.
Attention, you can sell your character only if you follow these rules:
-you should take off all items from the character;
-this character should have a full AP(Action Points) bar.
Inventory
To start a successful game you will need to put the purchased items on your character, to get a significant increase in the hero’s strength.
In the upper left corner, there is a button with a picture of your character on it. Click on it to go to the “Inventory”.
In the interface that opens, you will see all the items in your account.
To equip items on a character, click on the desired item, it will light up, as well as the slot for its placement. Click on the slot, and the item will appear in the selected slot, allowing you to increase your character’s strength.
In case the item does not match the level or class of the character, you will see the following on the screen.
The item will have a red backlight. It will be impossible to place it in any of the slots when clicked.
Gate
After all the preparations, you are ready to open the gates of the first of the Valhalla worlds. To do so, click on “Gate”.
After that, you will get to the location selection screen.
Each of them corresponds to the level of the character and has a set of monsters to upgrade. To move to the next one, you need to upgrade your character level.
Each monster, depending on the location, has its own power and a list of “Common” and “Rare” drop items.
In order to attack the selected creature, press the “Attack” button.
The chance of winning the battle is determined by the strength of your character and is displayed to you (“Win Chance”). Each attack on a monster will cost 10 Action Points (Ap).
After attacking a monster, you will have a window with the rewards and results of the battle.
In the case of rare rewards (they are NFT), the game will prompt you to add them to your wallet.
You will need to pay a fee to get the item.
Wait until the end of the transaction to continue playing.
